Case study: Education
MIT Family Week
MIT, a research university in Cambridge, Massachusetts, established in 1861, seeks to advance knowledge and educate students in science, technology, and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the nation and the world in the 21st century.
Event goals
Allow MIT families from around the world to connect over the shared experiences of their students
Bring together families whose students may live in the same dorm, study the same course, or participate in the same activities
Address attendees as a large group and share a message from MIT Parent Circle members before splitting off into smaller networking sessions
Frameable Events experience
Hosted over 150 attendees throughout the hour and a half event, with attendees meeting with a median of 32 other guests
Designed an event with a Welcome Center Stage to address the group as a whole at the beginning of the event and Lounges for student life, dorms and living groups, and academic experience
Named Tables based on specific Lounge topics such as dorm names and athletic teams to further connect families
